Matt's RC Hanger

This is a turbine powered model. It burns jet fuel or kerosene. It has an auto start function that allows to start the engine with no external support equipment. It features retractable landing gear, working flaps and a full set of custom lights by Details 4 Scale. Wing leading edge lights, nose gear light, wingtip nav lights, double strobe light on the fin and belly and a beacon aft of the cockpit. This plane has a top speed of 180mph!

This model was built by a good friend Tom Drake. Its built from balsa and light ply wood. Its covered in full scale fabric, Stitts Poly Fiber Light. I is painted in PPG automotive paint. It has details such as rib stitching, rivets, screw heads as well as scale working bungie cords on the landing gear. It also features working landing lights and rotating beacon on the top and bottom of the fuselage. With flaps down, this model can fly at a fast paced walk.

This is a plans built C-45. It features working flaps and Robart retractable landing gear. I have also installed working nose landing lights and retractable lights under each wing. The sights and sounds of a twin engine plane are hard to beat. The model flys as good as it looks. This plane was built by a Friend Lenny H. New England.

This model was a three year project. It features scale working landing gear that were custom built for me by Sierra Precision RC. It is covered in solortex and painted with War Bird colors paints. It features scale rib stitching, rivets, screw heads and full detailed cockpits. Scale function flying and landing wires are also a feature. The leather boots around the wing struts were hand sewn as well as leather detail on the rudder gap seal. This model was modeled after a full scale Bucker in England G-BUCC. I won “best Bi-plane” , “highest static score” and first place in “expert” at the 2010 Top Gun RC event in Lakeland Florida.
